Limp Rock

If you could only see–
if you could only see.
Your eyes are as glazed as windows
I can see right through you
but the glare refuses to let you see out
You are the diabetic owner of a chocolate shop
You can no more fix your problems
than you can cut off your own head
Your livelihood is also your death
Am I supposed to pity you?
I suppose.
It’s hard to pity the one
with the soul of a limp rock
